Harry Potter 6 Movie

Harry Potter 5 gave us lots of grand fight scenes. It even climaxed with an impressive battle between two supreme wizards. It gave us courage. It gave us hope, a sense of triumph, a sense of pride and joy.

Harry Potter 6 doesn't.

Like the book, Harry Potter 6 movie is indeed the darkest of all the HP movies. It makes you undeniably hopeless, doubtful, and lost. The misery is there. Even with great magic, everything seems pointless, discouraging, and impossible. No grand battles, no excessive display of magic, not much face-to-face combat, just plain flat plot. This somehow prepares us for the next part, like a bridge between 5 and 7. But mind you, this bridge is a very crucial point.

The movie succeeds in placing the audience in a certain emotion. Loss and despair. Nobody talks, nobody discusses, nobody seems to smile after the movie. All are affected. All seem weakened.

David Yates, the HP6 director said, "... but you haven't seen anything yet."

As I call HP6 movie a success, I am hoping that two-part HP7 will exceed more than this success.
